The pay varies by transcription job. Some pay by the hour, and some pay by the project. So be sure to read through the job listing carefully before you apply.

Xerox is committed to supporting military spouses and veterans. They offer work-at-home jobs for qualified individuals, including data entry jobs and verification.

They are a well-known and reputable company, so you can be confident that you will be working for a good employer.

Additionally, the work-at-home jobs’ hourly pay varies, and such jobs can provide you with a good income for part-time to full-time typing jobs.

9. BabbleType

Looking for transcription jobs that you can do from the comfort of your own home? Babbletype might be a good fit for you!

With rates starting at $0.40 per audio minute, Babbletype offers competitive pay for its transcriptionists.

To be recruited, you will have to go through three steps. You must first take and pass the transcription test, interview with the company, and then go through another assessment!

BabbleType also asks that you are available to transcribe one hour of audio files at least four days a week. Each day you would make $24 for one hour of work or about $96 a week. 

And since you can work from home, you’ll be able to set your own hours and take on as much or as little work as you want and make money typing.

10. Working Solutions

Working Solutions offers a variety of work-at-home jobs, including data entry jobs. The company has been around for over 20 years and is a reputable employer.

The pay varies by the data entry job, but most positions start at $9 per hour and can go up to $30 per hour with more data entry experience.

And since the work can be done from home, you’ll have a flexible schedule that you can work around your other commitments.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to earn some extra money from home, Working Solutions is definitely worth checking out.

Captcha solving is a way to earn money by correctly typing in text shown in images. It’s a pretty easy gig and doesn’t require any special skills. All you need is a computer and an internet connection.

The captchas are usually simple words or numbers, and you can work as little or as much as you want. There are a few different ways to solve captchas, but one of the most popular is probably via the 2 Captcha website.

Once you’ve signed up, you can start solving captchas and earning money right away. You won’t get rich solving captchas. The pay for normal captchas is between $0.14 – $0.60 per 1000 words.

Payments are made via one of the approved payment methods, such as Bitcoin or WebMoney.

12. Scribie

Scribie is a long-running transcription company that offers decent pay for transcription jobs. The company offers a flexible work schedule and the ability to work from home. 

While the pay isn’t outstanding, it is possible to earn $5 – $25 per audio hour with this company. The transcription jobs can be interesting and varied, as you will transcribe audio files from various audio recording sources.

Scribie provides an “automated transcript,” which the company says will help you get most of the work done automatically.

An extra advantage is that you can earn money with a monthly bonus of $5 for every three hours worked each month.

13. Amazon Mechanical Turk

Amazon Mechanical Turk is also known as mTurk. It is a company run by Amazon that offers online micro-jobs.

The jobs are called HITs, or Human Intelligence Tasks. They are usually very simple tasks that can be completed in a short amount of time.

There is a wide variety of HITs available on mTurk, and the pay varies depending on the task. The tasks can vary widely, from transcribing audio to identifying objects in photos.

And the best part is that you can work whenever you want – there’s no set schedule or commitment required.

However, most tasks only pay a few cents or dollars. So it would take a long time to make a significant amount of money with mTurk.

14. OneSpace

At OneSpace, you can get paid to type audio. The company has a variety of audio files that need to be transcribed, including interviews, focus groups, and phone calls.

OneSpace offers a flexible work schedule and the ability to work from home. You can choose how much work you want to take on, and you are paid per task rather than hourly.

The pay for each task varies, but the company pays $0.10+ for most tasks. So you would need to complete many tasks to make a decent amount of money with this company.

It’s also great if you can speak multiple languages, as you can offer data entry services for multiple languages and earn more for your skills.

Hollywood Transcriptions offers transcription, translation, and captioning services to the entertainment industry.

To work for Hollywood Transcriptions, you will need to be able to type at least 65 words per minute and own a digital foot pedal and transcription software. You’ll also need to have an excellent spelling and grammar skillset.

We couldn’t find a pay rate for jobs with them on their site.

16. SigTrack

SigTrack is a crowdsourcing platform that hires contractors to input voter registration information into their database. Because it deals with voter registration data, users must prove they are U.S. residents.

It offers a flexible schedule and competitive pay based on the accuracy of your work. In addition, SigTrack provides its contractors with training and support to ensure that they’re providing accurate and up-to-date information.

17. GoTranscript

GoTranscript is a thriving online transcription and translation business based in the U.K., but they provide transcription and translation jobs to freelancers worldwide.

They are always on the lookout for new freelancers to add to their team and keep up with demand from clients for transcription of audio files and video files.

They pay competitive rates of up to $0.60 a video or audio minute. Their website says they have average monthly earnings of $150. Payments for transcription work are made every Friday.

18. Aberdeen Typing

Aberdeen is a subtitling, captioning, and translation service company that employs people to type up these services for broadcast firms. They require all applicants to take a typing test as part of the hiring process.

This is an excellent way for stay-at-home parents, retirees, or anyone looking for extra income to make money and have a typing speed of at least 180 words per minute.

You must also have real-time captioning software, three phone lines, and a backup connection to the Internet to work as a captioner.

You may work as little or as much as you wish, and you may choose which tasks to complete. Aberdeen is an excellent choice if you’re searching for a flexible, additional source of income.

19. SpeakWrite

If you have experience transcribing audio, you might want to consider applying to be a contractor with SpeakWrite.

SpeakWrite hires contractors to transcribe audio from law practices, protective service agencies, and police stations.

The audio files can be long and complex, so contractors must have excellent listening and type quickly, usually over 60 words per minute.

CyberDictate is one of the more specialized typing sites that offer expert transcription services to legal, insurance, and law enforcement/security professionals throughout the United States.

They are looking for transcribers in the continental United States with solid typing skills to transcribe correspondence, pleadings, case notes, interviews, phone conversations/statements, and more!

Transcribers need to have prior legal terminology experience, a typing speed of at least 85 words per minute, and be available during regular business hours. Their pay rate is not listed on their website.

21. TigerFish

Tigerfish offers transcription, legal research, and other services to clients. They hire remote contractors to work from home to complete these tasks.

So you can get paid for your excellent listening skills and perform data entry work.

To work for Tigerfish, you must have excellent listening skills, have a minimum typing speed of at least 60 words per minute, and be able to follow instructions accurately.

22. QuickTate

Quicktate hires freelance transcriptionists to work from home. As a Quicktate transcriptionist, you’ll be transcribing phone calls, video recordings, and audio clips for their customers.

These jobs pay $0.0025 to $0.0050 per word to type what you hear precisely, so you must have strong listening and typing skills. The online job is relatively flexible, and you can typically set your hours.

23. Microworkers

If you’re searching for a more hands-on approach to making money online, consider micro-tasking on the Internet. Microworkers is a crowdsourcing website that provides an alternative to Amazon Mechanical Turk.
